Russian FSB Thwarts Bombing Attack in Mariupol


Mariupol: The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) announced on Thursday that it had thwarted a bombing attack in the city of Mariupol in Donetsk region.



According to Qatar News Agency, the FSB stated that a terrorist act planned by a Russian citizen was thwarted. The attack involved placing explosives near the Primorsky District Administration building in the city. The plotter had obtained the necessary components to manufacture an improvised explosive device.



The detainee is still being investigated to identify all of his accomplices, the statement added.



The FSB had announced on January 14 that it had thwarted an armed attack using toxic chemicals targeting workers at a military-industrial complex in the Yaroslavl region in central Russia.
