Moscow: Russian President Vladimir Putin held a meeting on Saturday with the permanent members of the Security Council of Russia to discuss developments in the Middle East.
According to Qatar News Agency, spokesperson for the Russian Presidency, Dmitry Peskov, stated in remarks quoted by Russian media outlets that the meeting tackled the situation surrounding Iran.
Earlier today, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov emphasized Moscow's readiness to assist in settling the situation regarding Iran, including efforts at the UN Security Council.
