Russian, Turkish Foreign Ministers Discuss Cooperation in Moscow


Moscow: Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and his Turkish counterpart, Hakan Fidan, discussed Tuesday in Moscow strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation across various sectors.



According to Qatar News Agency, during their meeting, the ministers also addressed a range of regional and international issues, with a particular focus on efforts to end the war in Ukraine and the situations in Gaza and Syria.



Following the talks, Lavrov stated that Russia and Turkiye are making joint efforts to overcome international and regional crises, including those in North Africa and the Middle East.



Fidan highlighted Russia’s choice of Istanbul as the venue for direct negotiations with Ukraine, viewing it as an embodiment of the shared understanding between Ankara and Moscow regarding enhancing stability.
