Saudi Arabia Continues Distribution of Dates and Iftar Meals in Sudan

Port Sudan, Since the beginning of the holy month, the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance continues to implement the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ gift programs in the Republic of Sudan, which includes distributing dates and Iftar meals in various Sudanese states. Under the program, 15 tons of dates benefits more than 60,000 Muslims, while more than 50,000 fasting people have benefited from the Iftar meals.

The ministry, represented by the religious attaché at the Kingdom’s embassy in Sudan, yesterday held an iftar banquet for fasting individuals at the Kingdom’s consulate in Port Sudan. Attending the event were Saudi Ambassador to the Republic of Sudan Ali bin Hassan Jafar, Sudanese Sovereign Council Deputy Chairman Malik Agar, Minister of Interior Khalil Pasha Sayrin, Minister of Social Affairs Ahmed Qadam Bakhit, Port Sudan State Governor Mustafa Mohamed Nour, and Humanitarian Aid Commissioner Salwa Adam. Attendees also included members of the diplomatic corps and Islamic figures.
