Saudi Arabia to Host 11th World Water Forum in 2027


Bali, The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will host the 11th World Water Forum in 2027, it was announced during the closing ceremony of the 10th session of the forum in Indonesia. Heads of participating countries, ministers, officials from 160 countries, and various international organizations attended the event.

The 11th World Water Forum, under the theme “Action for a Better Future,” demonstrates the Kingdom’s leadership in addressing global water issues, supporting regional and international water initiatives, and working towards sustainable development goals aligned with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.

Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Engineer Abdulrahman bin Abdulmohsen Al-Fadhli thanked the Saudi leadership for its unwavering water-sector support.

He added that such support has improved water and sanitation services across the supply chain.

The minister also highlighted the leadership’s support in strengthening the Kingdom’s international standing in the field of water, culminating in the opportun
ity to host this significant global event.

Earlier, HRH the Crown Prince announced the establishment of the World Water Organization, based in Riyadh, to garner international support and collaborate with organizations to address water challenges from a global perspective.
