Saudi Arabia to Participate in GCC Dialogue on Children Welfare Policies Tomorrow

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is scheduled to participate tomorrow in the "Gulf Cooperation Council Dialogue on Children Welfare Policies," to be held in Abu Dhabi between September 6 and 7. The Secretary-General of the Family Affairs Council, Dr. Maimoonah Al-Khalil, will head the Kingdom's delegation to the event.

The dialogue aims to provide an opportunity to interact and share the best practices, lessons learned, and expertise to enhance child protection systems in the GCC countries, primarily government entities and civil society organizations, and to work on basic procedures on child protection systems, with a particular focus on boosting manpower in social work from all stakeholders, mainly government actors, to achieve stronger coordination mechanisms for child protection.

The delegation includes representatives of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Health, the Public Health Authority, the Authority of People with Disability, the National Cybersecurity Authority, the National Family Safety Program, Childhood Care Association, and Al-Mawaddah Society for Family Development.
