Saudi Defense Ministry Denies Attack on Prince Sultan Air Base


Doha: The Saudi Ministry of Defense denied on Monday reports that had been circulated about Prince Sultan Air Base in Al-Kharj Governorate being targeted. Official Spokesperson of the Ministry of Defense Maj. Gen. Turki Al Malki stated that what had been circulated regarding this targeting is untrue. Al Malki explained that the sound of the sirens heard at dawn today was merely a precautionary measure due to the launch of a ballistic missile from Yemen, which disappeared near the border.



According to Qatar News Agency, Al Malki said that investigations are still ongoing to get to the bottom of the details surrounding this launch. The ministry’s statement aims to clarify any misinformation and ensure the public that the air base remains secure. The spokesperson emphasized the importance of relying on verified information sources and urged the public to disregard unfounded rumors.
