Saudi Stock Market Main Index Sees Gains While Parallel Market Declines


Riyadh: The main index of the Saudi stock market recorded an increase on Monday, closing up by 44.29 points to reach a level of 10,973.08 points. The total trading volume for the day amounted to SAR 5.7 billion.



According to Qatar News Agency, trading activity saw a total of 268 million shares exchanged. Out of the companies listed, 96 experienced an increase in share value, while shares from 164 companies saw a decline.



Conversely, the parallel market index, known as Nomu, experienced a downturn. It closed 239.14 points lower, reaching 22,750.48 points. The trading volume for Nomu was SAR 15 million, with more than 1.1 million shares traded.
