Seoul: South Korea, the US, and Japan discussed the implications of North Korea's latest ballistic missile launches, exchanging information on the launches and possible response measures.
According to Qatar News Agency, South Korea's Foreign Ministry stated that senior diplomats from the three countries held intensive consultations on how to respond to the launches. They highlighted the existence of a joint channel to immediately share information and assessments whenever North Korea conducts ballistic missile tests.
Pyongyang launched approximately 10 short-range ballistic missiles toward the East Sea on Thursday. This action coincided with joint military drills by South Korea and the US, which North Korea has criticized as "rehearsals for a war."
