Doha: Inter Milan came from two goals down to draw 2-2 with Roma in the headline match of the fifth round of Serie A.
According to Qatar News Agency, Roma initially took a commanding 2-0 lead through Manu Kone, who scored in both the sixth and 37th minutes. However, Inter Milan's resilience shone through as Argentina forward Lautaro Martinez narrowed the deficit by scoring in the 46th minute. Martinez continued to be the hero for Inter by netting the equalizer in the 79th minute, ensuring both teams shared the spoils and recorded their first draw of the season.
The draw saw Roma move to 13 points, maintaining their position at the top of the standings on goal difference ahead of Inter Milan. Lazio also accumulated 13 points, securing third place following their 2-0 away victory over Venezia.
In other matches, Cagliari climbed to fourth place on 12 points after a narrow 1-0 victory against Udinese, courtesy of a goal by Daniel Maldini. With this result, Udinese stayed in 13th place with four points. Bologna and Torino played out a 1-1 draw at Bologna's home ground, while Monza secured a 2-1 win over Sassuolo on Friday.
