Mogadishu: The Somali army announced on Thursday that several leaders of the Al Qaeda-linked Al Shabaab group were killed during an aerial operation targeting the group’s leaders and members in the Galguduud region of central Somalia.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Somali army stated that the operation was carried out in collaboration with the National Intelligence and Security Agency. The mission resulted in the elimination of several prominent figures within the group, marking a significant achievement in the ongoing efforts to dismantle Al Shabaab’s operations in the region.
