Gaza strip: Several Palestinians were martyred and others wounded Thursday as Israeli occupation forces continued to shell and target neighborhoods and areas in the Gaza Strip.
According to Qatar News Agency, local sources reported that a citizen was martyred and others were wounded by Israeli army fire in the vicinity of Hamad City, northwest of Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip. They were all transferred to Nasser Medical Complex, while another was martyred in an Israeli shelling of the city center.
A citizen was also martyred and others were wounded in an Israeli drone strike on the Al Biouk neighborhood in central Khan Yunis. A source at Al-Ma’amadani Hospital reported that several citizens were wounded by Israeli drone fire that targeted Al Yarmouk School west of Gaza City.
Medical sources said that 17 martyrs have arrived at hospitals in the Gaza Strip since dawn today as a result of the Israeli occupation forces’ continued shelling and targeting of several areas in the Strip.
Sources indicated that five of the martyrs arrived at Al-Shifa Hospital, three at Al-Ma’amadani Hospital, and nine at Nasser Hospital.
The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced Thursday that the death toll in the Israeli aggression on the Strip since October 7, 2023, has risen to 67,194 martyrs, in addition to 169,890 wounded.
It is worth noting that US President Donald Trump announced early Thursday morning that an agreement had been reached between the Israeli occupation and the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), stipulating an end to the war on the Gaza Strip, the withdrawal of occupation forces from the Strip, the entry of humanitarian aid, and a prisoner exchange.
