South Korean Presidential Election Poll Shows Lee Jae-myung Leading Over Kim Moon-soo

Seoul: A voter poll released Tuesday by three major South Korean television networks indicates that Democratic Party candidate Lee Jae-myung has defeated People Power Party candidate Kim Moon-soo in the presidential election.

According to Qatar News Agency, Lee Jae-myung secured 51.7% of the votes, while Kim Moon-soo garnered 39.3%. Meanwhile, the candidate from the Reform Party received 7.7% of the votes.

The 21st South Korean presidential election saw a turnout of 79.4%, marking the highest level in 28 years. The Presidential Election Committee reported that 35,240,416 voters out of 44,391,871 eligible citizens cast their ballots.

Additionally, over 15.42 million voters, representing 34.74% of registered voters, participated in early voting, held on May 29 and 30.
