Strong Explosions Rock Kyiv

Strong explosions rocked several areas in the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, as a result of Russian shelling. The mayor of Kyiv Vitali Klitschko said via Telegram that Ukrainian air defenses are confronting Russian missile and drone shelling targeting the capital and its surroundings. The Ukrainian capital was subjected to several airstrikes last July, including a Russian missile attack that hit a children's hospital. Ukraine has announced on Monday that its air defense systems shot down 24 drones launched by Russian forces over seven regions of the country. There is no indication that the war will be ending soon, as Russia and Ukraine continue to exchange attacks on a wider geographical scale. Both sides reject terms of peace between them.
