Khartoum: Chairman of Sudan's Sovereign Council, Gen. Abdel Fattah Al Burhan, met on Sunday with the United Nations Secretary-General's Envoy for Sudan, Pekka Haavisto, who is visiting Khartoum, to discuss ongoing efforts to achieve peace in the country.
According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting reviewed regional and international initiatives aimed at supporting a comprehensive political solution in Sudan, alleviating the suffering of the Sudanese people, and advancing peace and stability.
