Surge in Israeli Occupation, Settler Violence in the West Bank

Doha: Israeli assaults swept through towns across the occupied West Bank Saturday, targeting civilians, homes, and property in a systematic campaign that left injuries and widespread damage. Israeli forces stormed a home in Yatta, south of Hebron, injuring a resident and assaulting his family. He was hospitalized for treatment.

According to Qatar News Agency, Israeli forces set up military checkpoints around Hebron and nearby areas, sealing roads with barriers and causing major disruptions to civilian movement and traffic. In the Ramallah and Al Bireh Governorate, settlers torched a home in Abu Falah as Israeli forces stormed the area, firing live rounds at nearby civilians.

Eyewitnesses noted a sharp rise in settler violence, with 766 attacks recorded in October alone, as reported by the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission. Meanwhile, in Jenin, Israeli forces raided Ya’bad, evicted residents from several homes, and turned them into military outposts. Roads were blocked and shops forcibly closed.

These violations reflect a broader Israeli escalation across the West Bank, marked by nightly raids, property damage, and tightened military control at city entrances. Daily incursions by occupation forces and settlers continue in the West Bank and Jerusalem, involving arrests, confrontations, and the use of live fire, rubber bullets, and tear gas, intensified since the Gaza offensive began on October 7, 2023.
