The Transport General Authority (TGA) announced in a press release today that the total number of drivers’ cards issued during the first half of 2024 was 283,231.
The release stated that this is a significant increase from the 101,378 cards issued during the same period in 2023, representing a remarkable growth rate.
TGA emphasized that 253,622 driver cards were issued through the electronic portal, while 29,609 cards were issued through business service centers across the Kingdom.
The authority stressed the importance of driver cards in enhancing the performance and efficiency of truck drivers, thereby improving cargo transport operations, safety, quality, and compliance in the logistics sector.
The authority confirmed that driver cards can be issued or renewed electronically through the logistics platform logistic.sa, and users can contact the unified number 19929 for communication.
