Third National Forum for Social Workers Highlights Professional Responsibility and Social Impact

Doha:The Third National Forum for Social Workers commenced on Monday, organized by the Ministry of Social Development and Family, under the patronage of HE Minister Buthaina bint Ali Al Jabr Al Nuaimi. This two-day event, held under the theme "Professional Responsibility and Social Impact," sees participation from experts, specialists, and social workers.

According to Qatar News Agency, HE Undersecretary of the Ministry, Khalifa bin Issa Al Kubaisi, emphasized the critical nature of social work, underscoring its foundation on profound responsibility towards society. The Ministry is committed to advancing professional practice and enhancing social workers' capabilities, aligned with the Qatar National Vision 2030 and other strategic frameworks.

Khalifa bin Issa Al Kubaisi expressed hope that the forum's discussions would facilitate expertise exchange and yield practical recommendations to advance professional practice. This initiative aims to strengthen coordination among relevant authorities.

Nasser Al Mughaisib, Director of the Community Development Department, stated that the forum serves as a national platform for knowledge exchange among social workers. It reviews practices and contributes to higher-quality social services. The program covers topics like community partnerships, the future of social work with AI, and vocational training.

The forum's sessions explore professional responsibility, partnerships for sustainable development, and the impact of artificial intelligence on social practices. The Ministry seeks to develop policies supporting social workers and improving social services to achieve sustainable impact.
