It seeks to harness human capital and research competencies to serve Arabic in Europe, with a particular focus on overlooked Arabic and Islamic manuscripts in old European libraries.

Today’s conference sessions included discussions on the migration of the Arabic lexicon into other languages, Arabic terms in Czech and other Central European languages, and the Arabic origins of scientific terminology. Furthermore, the influence of Arabic on Spanish throughout history was examined. The day concluded with a panel discussion on methodologies for teaching Arabic to non-native speakers.
