Muscat: Somali Defense Ministry Three members of the Al Qaeda-linked Al-Shabaab militant group, including two senior commanders, were killed during a security operation in the Middle Shabelle region of southeastern Somalia.
According to Qatar News Agency, a ministry statement revealed that security forces targeted a militant hideout on the outskirts of Daaru-Nima district in the first operation. This led to the death of a commander and one of his bodyguards, while another member was wounded. A separate operation conducted in the Tawakal district resulted in the death of another commander.
