Washington: US President Donald Trump discussed bilateral relations with Iraq's prime minister-designate Ali Al Zaidi during a phone call on Thursday, according to a statement from the Iraqi cabinet.
According to Qatar News Agency, during the call, President Trump extended a formal invitation to Al Zaidi to visit Washington following the formation of Iraq's new government. The conversation focused on enhancing cooperation between the two nations.
The two sides also reviewed ways to strengthen ties between Iraq and the US across various sectors, and reaffirmed their commitment to joint efforts aimed at supporting regional stability.
