Ankara: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan met Tuesday with Crown Prince of Jordan, Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, who is visiting Ankara. Discussions during the meeting dealt with bilateral relations and regional and international issues of common interest.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Turkish President stressed the strength of relations between the two countries, emphasizing the importance of increasing cooperation and coordination between the two sides in various fields. In turn, the Jordanian Crown Prince pointed to the common position between his country and Turkiye towards supporting the Palestinian cause, stressing the need to rebuild Gaza without displacing Palestinians.
The meeting also touched on the dangerous escalation in the West Bank, and the repeated attacks on Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem. The two sides underscored the need to intensify efforts to find a political horizon to achieve a just and comprehensive peace based on the two-state solution, and to continue coordination and consultation through the Arab-Islamic Contact Group on Gaza.
