Ukraine: 9 Killed in Russian Shelling

Kyiv: Ukrainian authorities announced on Monday that nine people were killed in Russian shelling that targeted several cities.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Russian shelling of the capital resulted in the deaths of four people and injured 23 others, including a child, as reported by head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Tymur Tkachenko, on Telegram.

Meanwhile, Ukraine's Minister of Internal Affairs, Ihor Klymenko, stated that five State Emergency Service rescuers lost their lives in Kharkiv while combating fires resulting from repeated Russian attacks. He added that at least five others were injured during these incidents.

Since the outbreak of war on February 24, 2022, both Moscow and Kyiv have been issuing frequent reports on the progress of the fighting and the affected areas. However, the ongoing war and the nature of the fighting prevent complete verification of the accuracy of these reports.
