Ukraine: Russian Army Casualties Reach 1,006,120 Since Start of War

Doha: The Ukrainian military announced on Tuesday that since the onset of the war on Feb. 24, 2022, Russian military casualties have exceeded 1,006,120 soldiers killed and wounded, including 1,060 in the past 24 hours.

According to Qatar News Agency, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that since the start of the war, Ukrainian forces have destroyed 10,940 tanks, 22,814 armored fighting vehicles, 29,228 artillery systems, 1,187 air defense systems, 416 warplanes, 337 helicopters, and 40,981 operational and tactical-level UAVs.

It also indicated the destruction of 3,346 cruise missiles, 28 warships, and one submarine, in addition to 52,175 vehicles and fuel tanks, and 3,916 units of specialized equipment.

Reports from both sides often present conflicting accounts of battlefield developments, as these claims can’t be independently verified due to the ongoing war, active combat operations, and limited access to reliable sources on the ground.
