Ukrainian authorities have disclosed a series of Russian drone attacks that struck Kyiv in the early hours of Sunday, with no reported casualties.
Russia launched an air attack on Kyiv, with blasts ringing out across the Ukrainian capital and its region for almost two hours, and drone debris falling on several of the city's central districts, officials said.
The head of Kyiv's military administration Serhiy Popko said that the debris of the drones shot down by the Ukrainian air defense fell on the Shevchenkivskyi, Podilskyi and Sviatoshynskyi districts.
Ukrainian authorities did not immediately say whether all the drones had been shot down or whether any of them had directly targeted the city.
In the Shevchenkivskyi district, drone debris fell on a residential building, and did not cause any injuries, but it sparked a fire which was extinguished by the building's owners.
In the Sviatoshynskyi district, west of the capital, debris caused a fire in Sovky Park, one of the city's most famous public parks, Kyiv's Mayor Vitali Klitschko wrote on Telegram.
In Podilskyi, doctors treated a person suffering from an acute stress attack after debris fell in an open area.
