Kursk: The Ukrainian army announced that its forces are retreating in Russia’s Kursk Oblast, where Moscow’s forces have claimed rapid advances in recent days.
According to Qatar News Agency, “In the most difficult situation, my priority has been and remains to save the lives of Ukrainian soldiers. To do this, the units of the Defense Forces, if necessary, maneuver to more favorable positions,” said Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi, using a speech commonly used by both Russia and Ukraine to describe a retreat.
The Russian Defense Ministry announced yesterday that its forces had regained control of 12 towns and more than 100 square kilometers in the Kursk region of Russia, large parts of which had been under Ukrainian control.
