Kyiv: Ukrainian grain exports fell by 16.7 percent in November compared to the same period last year, amid the ongoing Russian-Ukrainian war.
According to Qatar News Agency, data released Monday by the Ukrainian Ministry of Economy showed that grain exports dropped to three million tons in November from 3.6 million tons in the same month last year, attributing the decline to a decrease in corn shipments.
The data indicated that Ukraine exported 1.8 million tons of corn and 1.1 million tons of wheat last month, compared to 2.3 million tons of corn and 1.1 million tons of wheat a year earlier.
Ukraine is a major global producer of grains and oilseeds, but the war with Russia, now in its fourth year, is reducing agricultural production due to farmers' fear or inability to plant and harvest crops.
