Doha:The US dollar regained some strength on Wednesday as the market's attention turned to the release of the Federal Reserve minutes and speeches by its policymakers, which may provide signals about a potential rate hike.
According to Qatar News Agency, The dollar index, which tracks the greenback against a basket of other currencies, increased by 0.16% to 102.07, bouncing back from a 0.27% decline on Tuesday.
In contrast, the euro dropped by 0.25% to $1.123, the Japanese yen weakened by 0.19% to 158.39 per dollar, and the British pound fell by 0.21% to $1.3244. Meanwhile, the Australian dollar decreased by 0.14% against the US currency to $0.6972, and New Zealand's kiwi declined by 0.28% to $0.5605.
