Doha: Major US stock indexes opened higher on Wednesday, extending recent gains on Wall Street. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 103.21 points, or 0.25 percent, to 47,809.58.
According to Qatar News Agency, the S and P 500 gained 16.90 points, or 0.24 percent, reaching 6,907.66. The tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite climbed 157.50 points, or 0.66 percent, to 23,984.99.
