Doha: The Center for Empowerment and Care of the Elderly (Ehsan) organized a special exhibition for the top 20 projects participating in the Ehsan Scientific Research Competition 2025. The winners will be recognized in the closing ceremony due later this month, to be patronized by HE Minister of Social Development and Family Buthaina bint Ali Al Jabr Al Nuaimi.
According to Qatar News Agency, officials and representatives of the supporting entities and participating schools will attend the ceremony, to be held in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE), the Qatar Research, Development and Innovation Council, and AFAQ Group. The exhibition saw wide participation from middle and high school students across Qatar.
Ehsan’s Planning and Development Office Director Al Anoud Al Marri hailed this year’s projects, which reflected a true awareness of the issues of the elderly. The competition contributes to integrating schools and their components into community issues, enhancing awareness of the issues of the elderly, and giving students the opportunity to apply scientific research skills to serve real humanitarian and societal issues, she said.
Al Marri added that the winners will be honored with cash prizes in recognition of their efforts, in addition to honoring the supervisors who helped guide the students and those who supported the competition. For her part, MoEHE’s Curriculum and Learning Resources Director Sarah Al Shraim said the competition is part of the cooperation between MoEHE and Ehsan.
Meanwhile, AFAQ General Manager Reem Al Marri commended the eighth competition’s lofty goals, which seek to instill awareness among students to create a more prosperous and sustainable future, in line with the objectives of the Qatar National Vision 2030.
