1 Killed, 19 Injured in Russian Attacks on Several Areas in Ukraine

Kyiv: Ukrainian authorities announced Thursday that one person was killed and 19 others were injured in Russian attacks on several regions in Ukraine.

According to Qatar News Agency, Ukrainian news agency (Ukrinform) reported that Russian forces targeted the Dnipropetrovsk region in central Ukraine with airstrikes and 30 drones, resulting in one death and 16 injuries.

In the Zaporizhzhia region of southeastern Ukraine, three people were injured in a Russian attack, while several buildings and infrastructure facilities in the Sumy region were damaged by Russian shelling, in addition to a disruption of gas supplies.

Meanwhile, Ukraine's air defense forces announced that they shot down 195 out of 221 Russian drones overnight.

These developments come amid the continued absence of any political resolution to the conflict that began in February 2022, with Russia and Ukraine exchanging near-daily reports on battlefield developments, most of which cannot be independently verified.
