Loiret: French authorities announced the death of one security officer and injuries to two others in a helicopter crash involving the National Gendarmerie in the Loiret region of central France.
According to Qatar News Agency, in a statement, authorities said that the helicopter was carrying three officers. The pilot and technician, both in critical condition, were evacuated to Orleans University Hospital, while the third officer died.
French Interior Minister Laurent Nunez said in a post on X platform that the accident occurred during an operational search mission. A judicial investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the crash, while the crash site has been secured.
