Temperatures will remain from 4 to 9 degrees lower than average as the country is affected by a low air pressure accompanied by cold and wet air mass in all layers of the atmosphere.
The meteorology Department expected in its Thursday bulletin that the weather will be cold and rainy to partly rainy, heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorm is expected, in addition to snow on the mountains which heights is more than 1400m.
The Department warned against the formation of ice on the mountains, fog in some inland areas in the early morning.
The winds will be southwestern to western of moderate speed, the wind speed will exceed 75km/h in the southern and central regions, the sea waves will be medium to low in amplitude.
The expected temperatures in some major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus, 15/06, Lattakia, 19/13, Homs, 13/08, Hama, 14/09, Aleppo, 18/07, Deir Ezzor, 20/10.
