HEBRON – Ma’an – Israeli occupation forces installed an iron gate at Beit Kahil Bridge in Hebron on Sunday evening.

Local sources said that the bridge connects the towns of Beit Kahil, Tarqumiya, Beit Ula, and Nuba, west of Hebron, while the occupation forces are still closing all entrances to the city of Hebron and its towns.

Jordan Rejects Israeli Justifications for Its Continued Aggression in West Bank

Jordan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ayman Safadi rejected the Israeli entity’s claims regarding the reasons behind its aggression in the West Bank.

The Minister said that the Israeli entity’s ministers have been fabricating threats to justify the killing of Palestinians and the destruction of their resources.

He considered that the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian land, its crimes against the Palestinian people and escalation in the region pose the greatest threat to security and peace.

Jordan will resist any attempt to displace the Palestinian people, whether within their occupied land or beyond, with all its capabilities, the Minister stressed.

Israel continues its extensive military operation in numerous towns and refugee camps in northern West Bank for the fifth consecutive day.

Hebron-Ma’an- The Israeli occupation forces allowed cars to enter from the northern entrance to Hebron, “Ras al-Joura”, a short while ago, and the occupation soldiers are conducting searches of the cars and their passengers.

The occupation forces closed the entrance this morning, after carrying out a shooting operation on an Israeli police car near the Taqmiya crossing west of Hebron, which led to the killing of 3 police officers.

The occupation forces closed all entrances to the city of Hebron with iron gates, cement blocks and dirt barriers, in addition to closing streets with Palestinian cars and confiscating car keys.

Eyewitnesses reported that a group of settlers gathered near the entrance to the town of Bani Naim, east of Hebron, and attacked Palestinian cars that were passing through the area. They attacked them with stones, and were removed by the occupation army.

The occupation forces also closed the road between the cities of Hebron and Dura near the southern fuel station in Sinjar, fired live b
ullets and tear gas canisters, and assaulted citizens.

The occupation forces are still isolating the western areas of the Hebron Governorate (Tarkumiya, Idhna and the western countryside of Dura), and are conducting searches for those they called the perpetrators of the shooting operation.

The mayor of Idhna, Dr. Jaber Al-Tamizi, stated that the occupation forces had turned the town into a closed military zone and prevented entry or exit from it.

The occupation forces also stormed the Wadi Al-Qaf Nature Reserve and began searching cars in the area, in addition to searching agricultural nurseries in the area, and closing the side roads with dirt barriers.

South of the city of Hebron, the occupation forces prevented citizens from crossing the Khirbet Qalqas junction towards the village or towards the city of Hebron, on foot.

Meanwhile, the occupation forces raided parts of the Abu Katila area in Hebron and conducted searches in some homes and fields in the area, in addition to searching fields and agricult
ural lands in the Bir Arka area, west of Hebron.

Russian Defense Destroys 158 Ukrainian Drones

The Russian Defense Ministry announced Sunday that its air defense systems destroyed 158 Ukrainian drones over the territories of several Russian regions.

Ukrainian attempts to carry out drone attacks against targets on Russian territory were thwarted last night, the Ministry said in a statement.

3 Israeli police officers killed in shooting attack west of Hebron

HEBRON – Ma’an – Three Israeli police officers were killed in a shooting attack targeting an Israeli police car near the Tarqumiya crossing, west of Hebron.

Hebrew sources reported that the perpetrators of the operation withdrew from the scene, and large forces of the Israeli army are pursuing them.

Later, the occupation forces closed Road No. 35, which connects Tarqumiya crossing to northern Hebron, and set up several checkpoints.

The occupation army imposed a siege on the western areas of Hebron, including Tarqumiya, Idhna, and Beit Ula.

This morning, the Israeli media witnessed extensive incitement campaigns calling on the occupation army to close and tighten the siege on Hebron.

The occupation army said that it found a car suspected of being used in the shooting operation, as it was found on the side of Road No. 35.

The occupation army stormed the town of Idhna, west of Hebron, as part of its search for the perpetrators of the operation.

Turkey Eliminates 6 PKK/YPG Members in Iraq and Syria

The Turkish Ministry of Defense announced the elimination of 6 members of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) in northern Iraq and Syria.

According to a statement issued by the ministry, the Turkish Armed Forces were able to eliminate 3 members of the PKK in northern Iraq as part of the “Claw-Lock” operations.

It indicated the elimination of 3 militants from the YPG, the Syrian arm of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), in the Euphrates Shield operation area in northern Syria.

Birzeit Municipality appreciates efforts to address water crisis

Ramallah Ma’an – A delegation from Birzeit Municipality visited the Jerusalem Water Authority and met with its Director General, Abdul Khaliq Al-Karmi, and the Director of the Engineering Department at the Authority, Eng. Emil Abdo.

The visiting delegation included the mayor, Nidal Shaheen, and the municipal council members, Ibrahim Saad, Dhiyab Al-Ash’al, and Firas Barbar, and from the engineering department, Eng. Mai Atmawi.

The Municipality Board of Directors reiterated that the occupation cannot be exonerated for the recent aggravation of the water crisis, and that it is the main cause of all forms of suffering that our people are subjected to, especially water.

He also called on the Palestinian Water Authority to work seriously to provide a water source for the region as a strategic solution and to quickly increase the quantities of water to fill the deficit and end the water crisis in the Birzeit region, or at least make it equal to the rest of the Authority’s concession areas.

Bomb Explosion in Western Iraq Kills Security Officer, Injures 2 Others

The Iraqi security forces announced the killing of one of its members and the wounding of two others in an explosive device explosion in western Iraq.

A security source said in a press statement that a member of the security forces was killed and two others were wounded when an explosive device exploded targeting their patrol on the Baiji-Haditha road in Anbar Governorate, western Iraq.

UN Calls for Solution to Sudanese Crisis, Stresses Need for Humanitarian Aid

UN Deputy Secretary-General Amina Mohammed called for a solution to the conflict in Sudan during her visit to the Adre border crossing in eastern Chad, where she witnessed the passage of a humanitarian aid convoy.

The UN said in a statement coinciding with the visit that “since Chad’s Adre border crossing with Sudan was reopened for humanitarian convoys, the food agency trucks carrying over 630 metric tons of food that’s about enough for 55,000 people have crossed into Darfur region.” This food assistance is for communities in Kereneik and Sirba, two areas that are at risk of famine in West Darfur.

The war is devastating lives and livelihoods and has triggered the world’s largest hunger, GBV, and displacement crisis.

USCENTCOM Destroys Houthi UAV, USV

The US Central Command (USCENTCOM) announced that it was able to destroy a Houthi uncrewed aerial vehicle (UAV) and an uncrewed surface vessel (USV).

“In the past 24 hours, US Central Command (USCENTCOM) forces successfully destroyed one Iranian-backed Houthi uncrewed aerial vehicle (UAV) and one uncrewed surface vessel (USV) in Houthi-controlled areas of Yemen,” USCENTCOM said in a statement on X platform.

“It was determined these systems presented a clear and imminent threat to US and coalition forces, and merchant vessels in the region,” USCENTCOM added.

“This action was taken to protect freedom of navigation and make international waters safer and more secure for US, coalition, and merchant vessels,” it said.

In December 2023, the US formed a multinational coalition to protect maritime traffic in the Red Sea, after the Houthi group announced that it would target vessels linked to the Israeli entity in solidarity with the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip. The group then expanded its operations to i
