3 Killed, Others Wounded in Russian Air Strikes on Ukraine

Kiev: At least three people were killed and others wounded in Russian air strikes targeting various areas in Ukraine, two days before the third anniversary of the Russian-Ukrainian war.

According to Qatar News Agency, Governor of Donetsk region Vadym Filashkin announced on Telegram that the Russian shelling targeted the industrial city of Kostyantynivka in eastern Ukraine, killing at least two people and wounding four others, and damaging ten multi-level residential buildings, 21 detached houses, in addition to a number of industrial facilities.

Filashkin called on remaining residents to leave the city, which is only about 9 km from the front lines, for their own safety. He noted that its population before the war began exceeded 60,000 people.

In a separate attack, at least three people were wounded in Russian drone attacks on the city of Kupiansk and surrounding areas in the Kharkiv region, where Russian forces are again advancing towards the city that Ukraine recaptured in the fall of 2022 and are now just a few kilometers away.

Recently, efforts to resolve the crisis between Russia and Ukraine have been increasing, with the US leading efforts to stop the war and Moscow expressed a positive position towards sitting at the negotiating table with Kyiv.
