Tobruk: The Libyan Red Crescent announced on Monday that it has rescued 36 illegal migrants who were aboard a boat off the coast of Tobruk, after receiving a report about a migrant vessel at sea.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Red Crescent said that response teams immediately moved to the scene and began providing the illegal migrants with first aid, humanitarian services, and the necessary support, as part of its joint efforts with the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR).
The operation comes within the framework of ongoing field efforts to protect lives and provide humanitarian assistance, the Libyan Red Crescent said.
