4.9-Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Turkish Balikesir Province

Balikesir: A 4.5-magnitude earthquake struck Wednesday Balikesir province in western Turkiye. The Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) said in a statement that the earthquake occurred in Sindirgi district of the province, at a depth of 7 kilometers.

According to Qatar News Agency, a 6.1-magnitude earthquake struck the same region last month, killing one person and causing several buildings to collapse.
