Doha: The 47th Islamic Book Fair kicks off in Kuwait next Monday, with the participation of over 120 publishing houses from various Arab, Gulf, and European countries. The fair will continue until May 3.
According to Qatar News Agency, the new edition of the fair, organized by the Social Reform Society, is held under the theme “Towards Civilizational Awareness.” Speaking on the occasion, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Social Reform Society Dr. Khaled Al Mazkoor explained that the fair has transformed into a comprehensive cultural platform that emphasizes the role of culture in building an informed individual and a civilized society. It embodies the Society’s mission to promote thought, knowledge, and human values.
Dr. Al Mazkoor noted the special attention given to children pavilions dedicated to children’s books and literature, as well as educational and recreational activities that foster a love of reading and knowledge among the new generation. He also highlighted major cultural competitions such as the Impact of Culture and the Genius Challenge, which contribute to building a solid knowledge culture.
