Algerian President and Sultan of Oman Discuss Bilateral Cooperation in Multiple Sectors

Algiers: Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune and Sultan Haitham bin Tarik of Oman engaged in discussions focused on strengthening bilateral ties across various sectors.

According to Qatar News Agency, the leaders explored opportunities for economic and investment collaboration, emphasizing sectors such as renewable energy, the pharmaceutical industry, agriculture, marine resources, food security, and financial and logistical investment. The dialogue also touched on regional and international issues of mutual concern.

During the meeting, both leaders witnessed the signing of several agreements, including a preliminary agreement, four Memorandums of Understanding (MoU), two cooperation memorandums, and four executive programs. These agreements aim to establish a joint Algerian-Omani investment fund and cover areas related to science, technology, education, agriculture, investment, the pharmaceutical industry, judicial cooperation, justice, plant protection, and animal health.
