Doha: The death toll after four boats capsized on a river in Qianxi City, southwest China's Guizhou Province, rose to ten.
According to Qatar News Agency, four boats capsized in sudden strong winds, plunging 84 individuals into the water, adding that 10 people died and 70 are being treated and are in non-life-threatening condition.
Chinese authorities deployed around 500 emergency response personnel to coordinate rescue efforts. Response operations are still ongoing to deal with the aftermath of the incident.
