Doha: The Social Protection and Rehabilitation Center (AMAN), a branch under the Qatar Foundation for Social Work, is actively engaging in an awareness campaign titled 'a safe environment in every home.' This initiative targets parents and guardians with the aim of promoting safe and violence-free home environments that are rooted in dialogue, support, and psychological well-being.
According to Qatar News Agency, AMAN emphasized that this initiative is part of its preventive approach to raising awareness about family safety, positive parenting, and child protection. The organization is providing practical tools to help families manage psychological pressures at home, thereby contributing to family stability and the protection of women and children.
Fadal Al Kaabi, Acting Executive Director of AMAN, highlighted the organization's belief that the family unit is the first line of defense in societal protection. He stated that fostering a safe home environment begins with awareness and empowerment. The campaign aims to enhance family awareness of essential skills needed to build strong, cohesive relationships based on dialogue and mutual respect, which positively impact child upbringing, the protection of women, and overall family stability.
Al Kaabi also affirmed AMAN's commitment to expanding the reach of these awareness programs through partnerships with various entities. This is part of its social responsibility to prevent violence and improve family quality of life, aligning with Qatar's vision for a cohesive and secure society, as outlined in the Qatar National Vision 2030 and AMAN's 2026-2030 strategy.
The campaign includes awareness workshops and discussion sessions coordinated with AMAN's partners in both the public and private sectors. These partners include the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, Lusail University, the General Authority for Minors' Affairs, the Minaretein Center at Education City Mosque, Halima Al Saadia Primary School for Girls, and the Moza bint Fahd Quran Memorization Center. Sessions have also been held at the Qatar National Library and the Cultural Village Foundation - Katara, with plans for more collaborations with additional government entities this year.
During the second quarter of 2026, more than 400 people benefited from these awareness workshops. Bakhita Al Ghayathin, Director of the Community Awareness Department at AMAN, noted that these activities are part of AMAN's efforts to engage directly with families by providing practical, interactive educational content. This enables parents to apply family safety concepts in their daily lives through effective methods that promote dialogue and reduce negative behaviors at home.
Hanan Al Ali, Director of the Communications and Media Office at AMAN, affirmed AMAN's commitment to delivering workshops and sessions that reflect family realities and address actual family needs. These efforts help raise sustainable awareness, which positively impacts family stability and the well-being of its members. Al Ali emphasized AMAN's efforts to collaborate with as many partners as possible to strengthen community partnerships and offer high-quality programs that contribute to building a well-informed, secure society where family serves as a nurturing environment for stability and safety.
