Arab League Condemns Israeli Minister’s Al-Aqsa Mosque Visit as a Dangerous Escalation

Doha: The Arab League has strongly condemned the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque compound by Israel's National Security Minister, accompanied by settlers and under heavy military protection, calling it a blatant violation of the site's historical and legal status.

According to Qatar News Agency, the League described Itamar Ben-Gvir's act as a dangerous escalation and part of a systematic policy aimed at imposing temporal and spatial division at the holy site. It warned that such provocations threaten to inflame tensions in the occupied Palestinian territories, especially amid the ongoing war in Gaza and rising violence in the West Bank and Jerusalem.

The Arab League reaffirmed that East Jerusalem, including its Islamic and Christian holy sites, remains occupied territory under international law and urged the international community and the UN to act to halt these violations and protect sacred sites.
