Cairo: The Arab Parliament welcomed the adoption of United Nations Security Council Resolution No. 2817, which condemns Iranian attacks targeting the territories of the Gulf Cooperation Council states and Jordan. The resolution is seen as a clear international stance rejecting any hostile acts that undermine the sovereignty, security, or stability of Arab countries.
According to Qatar News Agency, President of the Arab Parliament, Mohamed Al Yammahi, remarked that targeting civilian facilities and residential areas constitutes a blatant violation of international law and the UN Charter. He noted that such actions pose a serious threat to regional and international peace and security. Al Yammahi emphasized that the security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of Arab states are red lines that cannot be compromised or taken lightly. He reiterated the parliament's full solidarity with the Arab countries targeted by these attacks and its support for all measures they take to protect their security and stability in accordance with international law and the UN Charter.
