The Architecture and Design Commission has concluded the first edition of the Design Leadership Program with a ceremony in Riyadh that was attended by individuals interested in architecture and design and some of the program participants.
A presentation showcased the participants’ journey during the program, highlighting diverse activities and outcomes.
Commission CEO Sumayah Al-Solaiman delivered a speech emphasizing the commission’s unwavering commitment to investing in the development of Saudi architects and designers. She highlighted the importance of improving their skills to become influential leaders in the field.
Developer of the Creative Leadership Course at the Future London Academy Matt Hexemer also delivered a speech in which he said the program is a pioneering initiative that nurtures Saudi talents and fosters creativity.
Dialogue sessions were held led by prominent speakers, including Strategy and Urban Design Senior Manager at The Line project in NEOM Sarah Fayad and President and Founder o
f BEEAH Planners, Architects and Engineers Company Ali Alshuaibi, where the program was discussed and valuable insights were shared.
The commission launched the program in May as part of its effort to cultivate the leadership skills of architects and designers, bolster their capacity to lead projects and teams with high efficiency and foster an environment that promotes collaboration in the local architecture and design community.
