Bahraini and Peruvian Foreign Ministers Address Regional Tensions in Phone Call

Manama: Bahraini Foreign Minister Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani and his Peruvian counterpart Hugo de Zella engaged in discussions over the phone concerning regional tensions, particularly focusing on Iranian attacks on Bahrain and the closure of the Strait of Hormuz to international shipping.

According to Qatar News Agency, during the conversation, Minister de Zella expressed Peru's solidarity with Bahrain in response to the Iranian attacks, which have led to loss of life and property. He commended Bahrain's efforts to safeguard its security and stability. De Zella also highlighted the actions taken by Bahraini authorities at the UN Security Council in promoting a draft resolution to ensure the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz to international shipping, ensuring it remains unobstructed.
