China Launches Internet Satellite Constellation


Doha: China launched Tuesday a new batch of low-earth orbit satellites from the Wenchang Spacecraft Launch Site in southern Hainan Province.



According to Qatar News Agency, the satellite constellation was launched on a modified version of the Long March-8 carrier rocket, marking the second batch of its kind that will form an Internet constellation. The satellites successfully entered their designated orbit.



This launch marks the 559th mission of the Long March carrier rocket series.
