Hanoi:China's electronic information manufacturing sector experienced robust growth in the first eight months of this year, showing a solid upward trend in production.
According to Qatar News Agency, the value added by industrial enterprises above the designated size in this industry increased by 15.7% year on year from January to August. In August alone, these enterprises saw a value-added growth of 17.2% compared to the previous year.
Among the major products, integrated circuit output rose to 386 billion units, marking a 22.3% increase year on year. Additionally, electronic component output reached 6.2 trillion units, reflecting a 13.1% rise.
On the foreign trade front, the sector's export deliveries increased by 8.2% during the same period. Customs statistics indicate that China's exports of lithium-ion batteries reached 3.69 billion units, a year-on-year growth of 22.91%. Exports of household appliances also grew by 5.1%, totaling 3.15 billion units.
The combined operating revenue of major companies in the sector surged by 20.1% to 12.8 trillion yuan, while total profits soared by 110% to 847.5 billion yuan. Furthermore, fixed-asset investment in the sector increased by 8.1% in the first eight months of the year.
The sector's major companies are those with annual revenue from their main business operations of at least 20 million yuan.
