China’s Foreign Exchange Reserves Up by $31.7 Billion

Doha: China's foreign exchange reserves totaled $3.4422 trillion at the end of May 2026, marking an increase of $31.7 billion, or 0.93 percent, from the end of April.

According to Qatar News Agency, the State Administration of Foreign Exchange (SAFE) attributed the rise in foreign exchange reserve size in May to the combined effect of factors such as foreign exchange translation and changes in asset prices.

SAFE highlighted that China's economy continues to maintain steady growth and is making solid progress in advancing high-quality development. This progress supports the overall stability of the country's foreign exchange reserve size.
