Consultative Sessions on Human Rights Action Plan 2026-2030 Progress

Doha: The consultative sessions on the National Human Rights Action Plan 2026-2030, organized by the designated committee for the plan's preparation, continued on Sunday. These sessions are crucial for shaping the framework of human rights policies for the upcoming years.

According to Qatar News Agency, the session was hosted by HE Speaker of the Shura Council Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanim and chaired by HE Minister of State for International Cooperation Dr. Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad. The discussions focused on various topics concerning the Shura Council's specializations and competencies. Additionally, proposals and guidelines were considered to ensure the plan aligns with national policies and legislation.

The session concluded with an emphasis on the National Human Rights Action Plan's significance as a national framework. This framework aims to enhance the protection of human rights and ensure alignment with existing laws and policies.
