Kuwait city: Kuwait Bourse closed trading on Sunday with the All Share Index experiencing a slight decrease of 0.41 points, settling at 8,759.75 points.
According to Qatar News Agency, the trading session saw a total of 398.8 million shares exchanged, with a trading value of KWD 105.9 million, approximately USD 345.2 million, across 24,143 transactions. The Main Market Index, however, displayed positive movement, increasing by 63.71 points to reach 8,795.89 points, marking a rise of 0.73 percent. This was achieved through the trading of 234.5 million shares in 13,873 transactions, valued at KWD 41.5 million, or roughly USD 135.2 million.
Conversely, the Premier Market Index saw a decline, losing 14.06 points to close at 9,206.67 points, a decrease of 0.15 percent. This was accompanied by the trading of 164.3 million shares via 10,270 transactions, with a total value of KWD 64.4 million, approximately USD 209.7 million.
Meanwhile, the Bourse Main 50 Index also experienced a decline, losing 63.75 points to settle at 9,743.96 points, down by 0.65 percent. This index recorded a stock volume of 210.4 million shares, executed in 11,578 deals, with a value of KWD 36.6 million, around USD 119.3 million.
